Student Learning Expectations (SLES):4-5-6-7-8
It is expected that a graduate of Our Lady of Guadalupe School will be:
A. Committed Catholic Christians who:
- know the history of Our Lady of Guadalupe.
- know the sacraments and participate in liturgies.
- communicate with God through prayer, meditation, and song.
- are familiar with the Bible and its usage.
- act as disciples of Christ in daily life.
B. Life Long Learners who:
- understand that the learning process never ends.
- accept responsibility for all of the choices they make.
- recognize and develop their own natural abilities.
- develop a positive self-image and sense of self-respect.
- exhibit the Six Pillars of Character: caring, citizenship, fairness, respectfulness, responsibility, and trustworthiness.
C. Globally Aware Citizens who:
- respect all individuals, their ideas, and opinions.
- understand and accept various cultures and ethnicities.
- have an awareness of current events and world affairs.
- serve their community in a beneficial way.
D. Academically Prepared Individuals who:
- possess a solid foundation in all areas of the curriculum.
- utilize technology appropriately.
- demonstrate useful study and test taking skills.
- have the ability to define and pursue their goals.
