Student Learning Expectations (SLES):4-5-6-7-8

It is expected that a graduate of Our Lady of Guadalupe School will be:

 A.  Committed Catholic Christians who:

1. know the history of Our Lady of Guadalupe.
2. know the sacraments and participate in liturgies.
3. communicate with God through prayer, meditation, and song.  
4. are familiar with the Bible and its usage.
5. act as disciples of Christ in daily life.

B. Life Long Learners who:

1. understand that the learning process never ends.
2. accept responsibility for all of the choices they make.
3. recognize and develop their own natural abilities.
4. develop a positive self-image and sense of self-respect.
5. exhibit the Six Pillars of Character: caring, citizenship, fairness, respectfulness, responsibility, and trustworthiness.

C.  Globally Aware Citizens who:

1. respect all individuals, their ideas, and opinions.
2. understand and accept various cultures and ethnicities.
3. have an awareness of current events and world affairs.
4. serve their community in a beneficial way.

D.  Academically Prepared Individuals who:

1. possess a solid foundation in all areas of the curriculum.
2. utilize technology appropriately.
3. demonstrate useful study and test taking skills.
4. have the ability to define and pursue their goals.
